Know the Author

I am Anubhuti Deka. I would like to be called Jia here.

I have been journaling ever since I could scribble. I would write stories as a six year old child. Some of them were published in campus magazines where I grew up. Others remained in my diaries.

I decided to maintain a blog in 2023, only to halt the idea mid-way as I felt like I had my feet on multiple boats. I finally resumed in 2025 with a clearer image of what I want in my digital journal. Some of the articles here are new, the others are a few years old.

Why did I start this blog?

Because constantly sending writing samples felt like a full-time job in itself. Everything recruiters need to know about my writing style is right here.

It is also a great way to compile my work.

A book that changed my life:

Animal Farm by George Orwell depicted human nature and politics so well that i questioned everything then onwards.

What is my dream place?

Each place on earth is travel-worthy. My dream destination, however, doesn't even exist. It is utopia -Tropical white beaches, mangroves, turquoise sea with a vast coral reef, paired with mediterranean architecture, and a sky full of aurora!

What is my Favorite genre?

Comedy.
